Frequently asked questions

Is splitting a PDF here really free?

Yes. There is no signup, no watermark, and no daily limit.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF you choose is opened in your browser and processed locally with JavaScript. It never gets sent to our server or any third party.

What is the maximum file size?

There is no fixed limit. Because everything happens in your browser, the practical limit is your device's available memory. PDFs of a few hundred megabytes are usually fine on a modern laptop; very large files may be slow on phones.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Encrypted PDFs are not supported. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then split the unlocked file here.

Which browsers are supported?

Any modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera, on both desktop and mobile.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The page is the app.
