Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 May 2026

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The service

PDF Splitter is a free tool that splits PDF files into smaller files in your web browser. The splitting is performed locally on your device; the files are not uploaded to us.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to only process PDF files that you own or have the right to modify. You must not use the service to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or attempt to disrupt or attack the site.

3. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. While we take care to make the tool reliable, we do not promise that it will work in every browser, with every PDF, or without errors. Always keep a copy of your original file.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

5. Intellectual property

The site design, text, and code are owned by us or used under licence. The open-source libraries used by the site (such as pdf-lib and JSZip) are licensed by their authors under their own terms.

6. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

8. Contact
